July 15th 2006. Pre-7am start for SCR. CliveCab receives further fuel tank modifications and a wide range of bodged cooling impedimenta. When cooling problems refuse to desist, an electric fuel pump is hastily acquired and hurriedly added. Leave Swindon for 2nd time at 7pm, and successfully board 2:10 ferry to Calais. Fuelled by over an hour's sleep in the ferry bar, SCR make it all the way to France's first lay-by where further sleeping happens.
