| August 12th 2006. With no news of Team Brick and Team Tony's whereabouts, SCR and Skip Rats relax in Barnaul, which turns out to be pleasant modern town. SCR subject themselves to an antique centrifuge of Soviet design at a fairground in the town's main square, a truly disturbing experience which leave both in a mild state of shock and grumbling of bladder disturbance. En route to what turns out not to be an open air concert after all, the foursome's attempts to communicate with a semi-inebriated local who is keen to drink vodka and arm wrestle are noticed by Elena, Olga, Julia and Dasha, a party of recent university graduates who speak amazing English. They hastily drink the offered vodka, waive the arm wresting, and retreat to Elena's flat for tea, charades and sensational cake. |
