July 17th 2006. SCR employ a ridiculously early start to make it well past Munich by lunchtime, where increasing mountainousness promotes a CC radiator eruption. SCR pass the time waiting for the CC to cool in a service station being searched for drugs by two (very gentle) rubber-glove-donning policemen. A German English teacher helps to locate a nearby garage, who direct SCR to a radiator specialist in Munich, back to which they limp. Of the 6000 radiators stocked, none were made in Wales to the CC's seemingly unique specification, so the team head to a town just outside Munich to sleep in a field.
