July 20th 2006. SCR head to a friendly garage for a spare head gasket and second opinions. They (Germany), Man and Overton (London), Blaze Gas Converions (Cirencester), and SCR (c/o Germany) all firmly believe that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cab. The crux of the problem is thus: London Cabs were not designed to carry two people up steep hills quickly in 35oC+ temperatures whilst grossly overloaded and 21 years old. The German engineers, clearly not well versed in the arts of Clive, tell them to fly home. Instead, SCR adopt a 'pottering' policy, which bears them to a pleasant Austrian campsite by B-road.
